Introduction
There are opportunities to serve as an Ambassador or Shares in McCurdy's Mission.
McCurdy Ambassador

McCurdy Ambassadors are a group of volunteers representing many Annual Conferences of the United Methodist Church. These Ambassadors will, at their own expense, set up and carry our speaking engagements on behalf of McCurdy School for the purpose of sharing the story to as broad an audience as possible and to increase the volunteer and donor base as well as donations.  Below are the responsibilities which McCurdy Ambassadors will assume:

 

  • Travel to McCurdy once a year (if at all possible) at their own expense for a meeting of all ambassadors.  The school’s Board and staff will share information such as the current budgetary needs and visions for the future.

  • Make at least four (4) (more if possible), during the calendar year, speaking engagements in their home annual conference and report to the Director of Church Relations about their experience.

  • Check the McCurdy website www.mccurdy.org for current information that might be helpful i.e. the McCurdy Report Card, and any other information that might be used in their presentations.

  • Request from the Office of Church Relations any printed material needed for presentations.

  • Refer all questions which they cannot answer to the website or the Director of Church Relations.

  • Agree to serve as an ambassador for a minimum of one year.
SIMM-Shares In McCurdy's Mission

McCurdy School needs you to partner with us to help continue to educate our young people in this fast-paced, challenging world.  Working together we can raise funds to handle the ever growing need to increase the school’s ability to teach using the latest tools and equipment.

The tuition rate pays less than one-half of the cost to educate each student.  All other costs must be raised from people who care for McCurdy’s 96 year tradition of mission.  This means people like you.

 

Here’s How it Works

 

Become a SIMM member by completing the enrollment form below.  By doing so you are agreeing to pay $25 for each SHARE pledged every time a call is made.  You will not receive more than two (2) calls in any one calendar year.  Your call will come on a postcard, or email.  Pledge as many shares as you wish, as an individual or with a group of peers.  By pledging SIMMs shares you are taking an active part in McCurdy’s mission and commitment to a quality, Christian education.
