David Duran, Class of 1964
Mr. Duran has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for nearly six years. He is married to Judy (Kelly) Duran, also from the Class of 1964. They have two daughters, Kathleen and Kelly, and a seven-year-old grandson, Drake. Currently retired, Mr. Duran is a graduate of UNM, a Viet Nam War veteran, and former city editor of the Albuquerque Tribune. His 30-Year career in the telephone industry included stints in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Oregon, with responsibilities that also covered the states of Texas, Utah and Washington in fields ranging from public and community relations, regulatory matters, marketing, media relations, foundation administration and planning, as well as government relations at state and federal levels. He has served on the foundation board of Santa Fe Community College, the board of the Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque, as a founder and vice chair of the Greater Portland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Urban League of Portland, Chair of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber, Chair of the Glendale, AZ Chamber, board member of the Greater Phoenix Chamber and co-founder of the Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce, among other business associations and service agencies. Enoch A. Rodriguez Mr. Rodriguez was a staff member at He taught biology, physical science and Spanish from 1952 to 1974. He then served as school counselor and Director of Admissions from 1974 to 1988. Mr. Rodriguez was the assistant basketball coach for 21 years. He was the head boys basketball coach 4 years, going to state each year and finishing as runner up at the state tourney in 1976. He also coached track and cross country.
